Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is an extremely well-known American singer and actor. She is an Michigan native who was born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen was born in Huntington Woods, Michigan, to a Polish mother and a father that is German, English Irish, Scottish as well as Irish. Kristen discovered her talents in the entertainment industry at a young age. In 1992, she went to her first audition and won the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model for television and newspaper commercials. Then, she also began training in private acting. Bell was in a role of minor importance without credit for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and the drama club. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production in The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student of in musical theater at the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell completed her studies in 2001, left her university studies to perform in the role of Becky in Tom Sawyer. She made her first film credit in Pootie Tang in 2001. The scene however, was trimmed and now her appearance only appears in the final credits. Bell made an appearance alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in the Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
