Jill Hennessy
The resident from Edmonton, Alberta has a mix of ancestry from Irish, Italian, Swedish, French and Ukranian. Jacqueline is the twin sister of her and an actor. Jill was fluent in many languages throughout her childhood. These included Italian, French, and Spanish. At the age of twelve, old, Jill became interested acting. She began her acting career in Toronto as she was the actress in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her sister. When she began studying improv with Deb Kimmet, who was a student at Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. Then, two years later made the move back to New York and signed a deal as an Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the long running hit series, Law & Order. The actress also appeared in films including RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) during her three-year run. Over the next couple of years she became a part of a number of forgettable movies and in 1999, she landed her first starring role in the micro-series uremberg opposite Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York, Exit Wounds and other major productions were to follow. In 2001, she got her first lead role on the NBC-TV crime series Crossing Jordan and in 2007 she received a Gracie Allen award as "Outstanding Female Actress in an Drama Series" due to her role on the show. In 2000, she was married to the actor who played her Paolo Mastropietro. They have two children. In 2007 the couple was recognized as a member of Canada's Walk of Fame.
